There are many advantages in having these treatments performed by a qualified doctor:
Increased understanding of the ageing process ensures the best treatment combination for you. |
Products & TreatmentsBotulinum Type A - muscle relaxing injectionsBotulinum Type A (commonly known as Botox™) is the most popular
anti-ageing treatment. Botox™ is used to treat and prevent wrinkle formation. Commonly it is used to treat frown lines (between the eyes), crow’s feet and the forehead area. The result is a much younger looking, rejuvenated appearance, that can last for on average 3 months. With repeated use over time, this effect can be more prolonged. Botox™ is remarkably safe when used in professionally trained hands, and has few side effects. Before a first treatment you will have a thorough consultation to make sure that Botox™ is suitable for you, and can provide the results you desire. Botox™ injections are virtually painless. As with any injection some minor bleeding, redness and bruising is possible. This can easily be concealed with makeup if necessary. Allergic reactions to Botox™ are extremely rare. Dermal FillersThe filler agent used is called Hyaluronic Acid. This is a naturally occurring substance found in most tissues of the body. I use products which are 100% non-animal in origin, and also contain a local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. These are semi-permanent fillers and do not have any of the risks associated with permanent fillers. The results last for on average 6-12 months.
Dermal Fillers offer a very effective and immediate solution to unwanted folds and wrinkles. They are particularly effective for the lower face. Suitable areas include the nasolabial folds (between the nose and mouth), marionette lines (around the chin), smile lines and lines on the cheeks. Dermal fillers also provide fantastic results for rejuvenating the lips, giving a more youthful and sensual look. They can enhance thin lips, create definition and lift the corners of the mouth. Hand RejuvenationThe changes that occur in our hands as time passes often age a person even with a youthful face. The loss of fat and and thinning of the skin results in loss of the plumpness of the hands that we associate with youth. This can result in contouring between the bones and more prominent blood vessels on the back of the hand. Modern techniques with dermal fillers can easily reduce these effects resulting in much younger looking hands.
Cheek AugmentationAs time passes fat and collagen are lost from the face which can lead to a loss of volume resulting in a 'drooping' accross the cheeks. Restoring some of this volume can significantly lift the skin accross the cheeks. This makes the face look younger by restoring the lost volume and lifting the cheeks. Often this will give a secondary benefit of softening the nasolabial folds. This can be used in addition to other dermal filler techniques to enhance their effectiveness.
